From Jennifer Han:
✨🎃 Hey Saratoga Community! 🎃✨
I’m so excited to announce the Second Annual Saratoga Halloween Kick-Off Bash happening on Friday, October 31st from 4 PM – 6 PM right here in Springfield! This free community event is all about bringing families together for an afternoon of fun, entertainment, and spooky memories.
Here’s what you can look forward to:
🥋 Special TKD Demonstration – Don’t miss our live martial arts demo at 5:00 PM before the contests kick off!

🎨 Free Activities for Kids/Families – Enjoy a moonbounce, face painting, and balloon artist fun, all free for families to enjoy!

🧛 Costume Contest (All Ages!) – Sign up at the event (10 contestants max) and show off your best spooky, silly, or creative look. At 5:30 PM, we will hold a fashion show, and the crowd will cheer for their favorite costume. The winner will be announced live! (One prize for first place.)

🎃 Trunk-or-Treat Contest – Show off your spooky creativity by decorating your trunk for a chance to win a prize and be crowned Saratoga’s Best Trunk-or-Treat of 2025!
📸 To enter, send a photo of your decorated trunk to [email protected] by October 16th.
The contest will be decided in three rounds of community voting on our Saratoga Facebook group:
  • Round 1: Trunk photos posted for voting Oct. 17–19 → Top 10 announced Oct. 20
  • Round 2: Top 10 photos posted for voting Oct. 24–26 → Top 5 announced Oct. 27
  • Final Round: The Top 5 trunks will be displayed live at the event, and the winner will be announced after the costume contest! 🏆 (One prize for first place)

✨ Vendors Wanted – We’re inviting local vendors and businesses to come out, showcase your business, and pass out candy to families! If you’d like to sign up as a vendor, please email [email protected].
🙌 Volunteers Needed – Ideally for High school students, this is a great opportunity to earn 4 volunteer hours (2 PM – 6 PM). Duties include helping with setup, monitoring the moonbounce, keeping an eye on safety, and assisting with cleanup. Email us if you’d like to volunteer!
🧡My vision is simple: to bring families together, give kids a safe and fun place kick off trick-or-treating, to make memories, and help local businesses connect with the community. I hope to make the Saratoga Halloween Kick-Off Bash a tradition our community looks forward to every year.
💜If you’d like to help contribute in making this event a success, please feel free to contact us about donation opportunities. Your support — in any form — truly makes a difference and helps create a memorable experience for all.
